Car Engine Repairs & Problems
Understanding engine issues early can save you from major repairs. Here’s a list of common engine problems and their solutions.

Engine Overheating
Caused by coolant leaks, faulty radiator, or thermostat failure. Ignoring can lead to engine seizure.

Oil Leaks
Leaking gaskets or seals reduce lubrication and can damage engine internals. Look for oil spots under the car.

Knocking Sounds
Knocking or pinging noises may mean bad spark plugs or low-octane fuel. It can damage pistons if ignored.

Check Engine Light

Rough Idling
If the engine vibrates at idle, it could be dirty fuel injectors, spark plugs, or sensor issues.

Loss of Power
Reduced acceleration often comes from clogged filters, worn spark plugs, or exhaust problems.

Excessive Exhaust Smoke
Blue smoke = oil burn. White = coolant leak. Black = too much fuel. Each has a different fix.

Timing Belt Issues
If the belt snaps, your engine could face catastrophic damage. Replace every 60,000–100,000 km.

Dirty Air Filter
A clogged filter reduces engine efficiency. Replace regularly for better performance and mileage.

Fuel System Trouble
