The service is comprehensive, going beyond a basic oil change. It includes a detailed inspection of fluids, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, engine diagnostics, and replacement of manufacturer-specified parts at the correct intervals.

After a qualified mechanic performs the service correctly, they will stamp and sign your logbook. This provides documented proof of adherence to the service schedule, which is critical for warranty claims and significantly boosts your vehicle’s resale value.

To maintain your warranty, the mechanic must use "genuine or equivalent quality parts" and fluids. Reputable independent workshops will ensure that all replacement parts meet or exceed the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

Service intervals are determined by the manufacturer, typically every 10,000km to 15,000km or every 6 to 12 months. Skipping or delaying a logbook service can lead to major, costly repairs and may jeopardise your warranty cover in the event of a component failure.
